Walt Kuchinski

Walt Kuchinski has been playing guitar for more than 45 years. He began performing professionally at age 13 and teaching guitar at age 15. While in New York, he led a jazz/pop band called 'The Dynamics' for over seven years, performing for a wide range of audiences and events.

He has enjoyed a successful career in the human resources field that has included serving as Head of Recruiting and Director of Human Resources for major financial and investment banking organizations. Today, he is President of Diversitas, a management consulting firm based in Charlotte, NC and is active in advancing diversity and multiculturalism in the Charlotte region.

His current community involvement includes: Co-Chair of the Charlotte Chamber's Diversity Champions Committee; Board Member for the Diversity Council of the Carolinas; Adjunct Faculty member for University of Phoenix and numerous HR professional affiliations.

Walt's music fits a broad spectrum of venues from private dinner parties, fund-raising events, outdoor concerts, restaurant and club settings, weddings, corporate celebrations and much more. His repertoire is customized to the client's needs, helping to compliment the structure and theme of each event. He performs under the stage name Guitar Travels -presenting a diverse musical journey which has a basis in many different styles and cultures. In addition to standards and popular songs, he also performs a very broad range of original compositions backed by electronic accompaniments created in his studio.

His passion for work and family are followed by his continuing goals to become a better guitarist, share his music with people and pass his skills onto others.

Walt is married to Angel for 35 years and is the proud father of two adult children, Brian and Amy.
