Michele Decker has been in the entertainment business long enough to remember when grunge was new. She worked for many years booking concerts on college campuses and learned the fine art of dealing with the newly famous - quirky rider requirements and all. After a lot of years making sure band member A had his favorite brand of cheese at exactly 50 degrees in his dressing room - immediately following his performance, she decided to check out another career path and became an event planner.

Now life in the event planning business is none too glamorous (contrary to popular belief) but she loved learning all about table linens and floral centerpieces and how working a 20 hour day on an event site for the 3rd day in a row is good for the soul! Still, she missed the excitement of working with live performers full time.

In 2005, Michele returned to her roots in the mountains of North Carolina and decided it was the perfect time to re-enter the entertainment side of the business. She and Doug Daniel go way, waaay back to a time when neither of them had ANY gray hairs, so she called him up and before you know it she was an employee of Daniel Entertainment Group and was once again working with bands and clients.

Outside of work, Michele is an avid gardener and can be found on weekends with a big funny hat on attacking weeds in her organic vegetable garden. Her husband Jamie likes organic vegetables so he doesn?t mind the big hat, but her 13 year old daughter gets slightly embarrassed and rolls her eyes sometimes. She also is active on the board of MPI-CC and enjoys playing with her two dogs and three cats. She hopes to add a milk cow and a perhaps few chickens to the family one of these days.
